Brett spent the weekend at the Indiana Knights of Columbus Convention. It is held annually and this year it so happened to be in Bloomington at the Monroe County Convention Center. While Brett was there, he attended mass daily, listened to speakers, hung out with fellow Knights from the Bloomington chapter and even ran into someone from Syracuse. The best part of the weekend for him, however, was becoming a 4th degree Knight.
I was very happy for Brett. He had worked hard to become an active member of the Bloomington Knights. He has helped run their Tootsie Roll Drive for the past several years, attended bimonthly meetings, enjoyed dinners with members outside of the Knights, and volunteered for Knights activities at the St. Paul's. It has been a great experience for him and a wonderful way to give back to the community that has become his home.
