Princess Tiana's Bayou Adventure

When Meg decided to come to Florida for the 4th of July, she asked if we could go to Magic Kingdom one of the days.  The long awaited transformation of Splash Mountain would be open and she really wanted to ride Princes Tiana's Bayou Adventure.  Cameron and I were more than interested in going with her, so I made reservations for today.  I was a little worried last night that I wouldn't be able to make it.  My leg was killing me from all of the driving this weekend.  I didn't know if I could make a trip to Orlando on it.  Thankfully, the walking at the park actually make it feel better and Meg was able to get us Genie + reservations so that we would be able to skip a couple of the lines.

Once the three of us arrived, we realized that the park was a little more crowded than usual.  We figured that everyone else was anxious to ride the new log flume as well.  We decided from the beginning that we would do things that we hadn't done in a long time.  The first ride of the day was actually the double decker bus at the front entrance.  It wasn't a long ride, but was a lot of fun driving through the crowds on our way to Cinderella's castle.  Once we hopped off, we headed straight to the tea cups.  Meg thought that we'd be able to ride them if we didn't spin them.  She was right and I enjoyed trying them.

Our next stop was the Little Mermaid ride.  It has always been one of Meg's favorites and only had a five minute wait.  Cameorn picked up a LeFou's Brew before we headed to Dumbo.  It had been two decades since I had ridden the flying elephant and really liked it.  Meg and I did think it was funny that we both almost got motion sickness on it but not the teacups.  The rest of our morning was spent watching Mickey's Philharmagic and riding Winnie the Pooh.

Lunch was at Cosmic Rays.  We thought it was the perfect time to go since Doug wasn't with us.  We finished just as our number was called for Princess Tiana.  The three of us were extremely excited.  I was worried that the line would be long, but we only waited seventeen minutes before getting to our log.  The queue was very cute and the ride overall was extremely enjoyable.  Meg and I were in the front row; Cameron was in the second.  When it was Splash Mountain those would have been the perfect seats.  That wasn't the case today as we got completely soaked.  Thankfully, it was such a hot day that none of us cared.  We loved the ride and had fun in the gift shop afterward.

The rest of the day was spent riding Pirates of the Caribbean, Princess Tiana for the second time, It's a Small World, the train and Buzz Lightyear.  It was a lot of fun and we all had a great time telling Doug about it during dinner at McAlister's tonight.  I was very glad that we went and thankful that tomorrow we would all be able to rest.
