Last night while many in Bloomington were attending the North Carolina vs Indiana basketball game, there was a large group a block away at St. Paul's Catholic Church participating in their weekly Bible study sessions. Meg and Brett were part of that crowd just as they are every Wednesday night. They both love their individual groups and have learned a lot from them these past few years. These groups have also been a source of social activities outside of the church for them as well. Brett's group hangs out at Viva Mas weekly and Meg's group of girls meets regularly for social gatherings.
As I thought about the game last night and the activities at St. Paul's, I realized that one of the reasons that I absolutely loved Indiana University when I was a student and as a parent was their diversity of activities. Cal and Cameron were all over the basketball game last night and would definitely have been in attendance if they were in Bloomington this week. Meg and Brett were happy that IU won, but had an activity to attend that they enjoyed more. Tonight there was an ice rink at the IMU and the Nutcracker Ballet on campus. This weekend is The Chimes of Christmas at the auditorium along with the #5 Indiana Women's Basketball team hosting Illinois. So many reasons to love Bloomington - glad that everyone in the Heinisch family agrees with that.
