Meg officially ended the first semester of her senior year this afternoon when she finished her Beatles final. Needless to say, she was more than happy to be done. She said that the exam was unnecessarily long, but she kept telling herself that if she was finished that she got to go to Disney World. It must have worked, because she made it through with twenty minutes to spare.
As soon as Meg was done, we grabbed our Magic Bands and headed to Winco to pickup Doug. He got in early this morning, so he could leave at 3 p.m. today. We made reservations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios tonight as Meg and I wanted to do some Christmas shopping and see all of the Christmas decorations.
Just as we arrived at the park, it started to drizzle. Meg saw that the rain would last about an hour, so we decided to wait it out under the cover of Slinky Dog Dash. That worked perfectly as we got seated just as the rain ended. It had gotten dark early, so the ride was even more fun with all of the lights on. I also loved all of the comments I received about the Slinky Dog Sweater Weather shirt that I was wearing tonight.
While we were at the park tonight, we were able to eat dinner at the Baseline Tap which had some fun drinks plus a delicious Bavarian pretzel and charcuterie board to share. We opted out of Fantasmic to ride Mickey’s Runaway Railway and then did some Christmas shopping as well. We found some great gifts and split a chili cheese dog before leaving for the night. Although we were only at Hollywood Studios for four hours, it was definitely a lot of fun and a great way to celebrate the end of Meg’s semester.
