A Sunny Shopping Day

Meg had to study this morning, but we still had time to take a walk outside in the Florida sunshine.  After a dreary week in Indiana, it was definitely nice.  Doug had a busy day at work, so he couldn't eat lunch with us.  Meg and I enjoyed his favorite, Tijuana Flats, without him.  He didn't mind as he had Marcos pizza to take with him.

After lunch, Meg and I spent the afternoon shopping.  We started at Belk's and the Paddock Mall.  We found a gift for Cameron and I picked up a new candle as well.  Meg tried American Eagle, Francesca's and JC Penney, but didn't find anything that she wanted.  Kohl's had some great sales and we had $55 in reward money to spend.  We got a gift for Doug, Nick and Brett plus a dress for Meg all for $35.  Our last stop was Walgreens where we checked out their collection of Squishmallows.

After our shopping trip, we picked up Doug and Uncle Phil for dinner at Brick City Southern Kitchen.  The downtown was decorated beautifully for the holiday and there was someone signing Christmas songs in the square.  The restaurant was filled with others enjoying their happy hour discounts.  While the guys waited for a table, Meg and I walked over to Grandpa Joe's Candy Store where we found some great stocking stuffers and a gift for Rachel.  We arrived back to Brick City just as Phil and Doug were seated.  Dinner was delicious and the conversation was lively.  We enjoyed listening to Phil's viewing choices on YouTube and he tolerated Meg and I pressuring him to get a television and a couch.  It was definitely a great evening out and a wonderful day in Ocala overall.
