The Calm Before the Storm

All of the Heinisch children have done their best to catch up with as many friends as possible this week.  This has been especially true of Meg and Cameron.  They both realized last weekend that the impending storm would make it hard for them to travel late this week, so they made as much time as possible to see as many of their friends as they could before the weather changed.  Cameron hosted his group in Syracuse Tuesday afternoon with lunch at Chubbie's and ping pong in our basement.  He and Samuel then went Christmas shopping.  Today he invited Alina over so that they could exchange gifts and play games with Meg and I.

Meg went to Goshen Brewing Company with Gabrielle on Sunday and was back there Tuesday with Phillip and Nick.  She got coffee with Kaitlin and Gabrielle this morning and made plans to see one of her friends from IU tomorrow back at The Brew in Goshen before the snow started falling.  Tonight she invited Nick over to celebrate his graduation and in between all of the social gatherings, she even made time to stop at Grandma and Grandpa's a few times.

Brett kept busy with his friend group as well, going out to lunch and dinner with several from his Bible study.  He also hosted a game night recently and was proud to announce that Gaston was the winner of Disney Villianous.  He got breakfast with Cal and Rachel as well as they were in Bloomington for an IU basketball game.  Cal then spent time with the rest of his friends in Chicago, bracing for the winter store as it was predicted to hit the Windy City even harder than Northern Indiana.  I was glad to hear that they all made the most of the time with their friends recently.  It will make being stuck inside for a few days during the winter storm a lot easier.
