Cal started dating Maggie last spring, but we hadn't met her until this weekend at Cameron's wedding. We asked them to meet us for lunch today as they were driving back to Chicago from Michigan and we were heading to Indiana. Cal picked Cooper's Hawk in Merrillville and we appreciated getting a chance to spend more time with both he and Maggie. She told us about her job as a RN and her life growing up in the suburbs. We found it interesting that she had also attended St. Louis University, just like Uncle Phil. She agreed that the area right around campus wasn't the greatest, but that the school and the landing where they hung out was awesome. The best part was finding out that she was as big of a Disney fan as we all were. The Boardwalk was her home resort growing up, so that was something that we could all enjoy talking about.
We spent close to an hour and a half with them before saying goodbye. I was sad to see Cal leave, but knew that he needed to get back before traffic picked up from the holiday weekend. I do not know how serious Cal and Maggie are with their relationship, but they seemed like a great fit and I was very glad that they had found one another.
