Cal arrived in Syracuse tonight around 5 p.m. He had decided to come home this weekend to celebrate Mother's Day. It also gave him a chance to pick up his title and license plate for the CR-V. As an added bonus we would also be able to celebrate his birthday a week early. His first stop of the day was Grandma and Grandpa's. He made plans to play nine holes with Grandpa before dinner. They had a lot of fun, especially Cal as he was the big winner of the day.
Tonight, Doug made brats and bean dip for the three of us. Cameron had to work at The Chief and was gone most of the day. It was nice to sit outside, eat dinner and relax with Cal. Grandma and Grandpa arrived at 8 p.m. The five of us decided to play Oh Hell. Cal was at a disadvantage as we had a lot more experience with the game. Even with the loss, he said that he had a lot of fun.
Cameron arrived at the end of the evening. He was happy to announce that he had made $50 in tips tonight. That was definitely the highest he had made since he started there. After Grandma and Grandpa left, I suggested watching Seinfeld. Cal had drank a couple of shots of cinnamon vodka this evening which to me sounded like "Cinnamon Bobka" a dessert from my favorite Seinfeld episode. Cal and Doug agreed and we all enjoyed watching George in his puffy coat before heading to bed.
