When Doug found out that Cameron had a tournament on the same day as Meg's graduation, he originally suggested that Cameron miss the match to go to Bloomington. Meg let Doug know right away that she was ok with Cameron missing graduation. He only had three tournaments all year and she didn't want him to sit out of one. At the time, Meg wasn't even sure that Nick would be able to be at the ceremony because of his flight schedule, so she didn't want to put pressure on anyone to make the day perfect. Meg just wanted to celebrate with Doug and I. She included Brett as well once she found out that his schedule had changed at work allowing him to have his weekends off.
Thus, Cameron stayed home for the weekend to play in the Concord Invitational at Bent Oak. Unfortunately, the tournament did not go as well as it did last year leaving Cameron disappointed with his performance. Thankfully, he did have a lot more going on this weekend to distract him from thinking about his golf score. On Friday night, he went to Bethany's track meet and afterward attended Jordan's soccer game with Keegan. After last night's golf match, he headed straight to the SGA spring party. It was the perfect weather for it and Cameron had a lot of fun playing corn hole and hanging out with his friends. Today, he celebrated Alina's birthday a day early with lunch at Venturi's, worked at The Chief, and then went to Alina's spring coral concert.
Cameron wasn't the only one that missed Meg's graduation. Cal wasn't able to attend either as he had been invited to go on a Vegas trip with the Sheck family. In total there were sixty of them and although Cal did not know all of them, he did have a great time. They gambled, enjoyed some good meals and met a few musical celebrities. He contacted me several times to let me know what he had won and lost. I was glad to hear that he had finished even for the weekend and enjoyed the karaoke rendition of "Crocodile Rock" that he and Riley performed together videotaped by David. All in all it was a busy weekend for the non-graduation crowd. I was glad that Cal and Cameron had made the most of it.
