Today was Brett's last day at home. He had to work this weekend and although we were disappointed that his time with us was so short, we were glad that he was able to spend Christmas in Syracuse. We spent today together, eating lunch at Peterson's, going bowling and even playing Germany Ticket to Ride before he left. My parents stopped by to see him and play a game of Clue with him as well before saying goodbye.
Tonight was a quiet one after Brett left. Meg hung out with Nick, and Cal went out with his friends. I was exhausted after our week of festivities and did not stay up too late. Brett called to let me know that he had made it back well before 10 p.m. He was happy with his time with us and thankful for an uneventful trip to Bloomington, so were we.
