Food Tour of Northern Indiana

As this was Cameron's last full week in Syracuse for quite some time, we decided that it would only be fitting that we "tour" some of his favorite and most noted restaurants in the area.  We started on Sunday with lunch at Mootown Snack Shack as neither one of us had been there since they had bought the root beer stand from Shopoff's.  The food was really good and we both enjoyed our Spanish dogs.  Monday was Macri's, an old family favorite that Meg, Cameron and I really liked.  Tuesday was tenderloin day at Chubbie's with Grandma and Grandpa.  We tried hot dogs at Pat's Chicago Dogs on Wednesday so that we could compare them to Mootown.  I leaned more towards the new restaurant while Cameron went with Pat's.  Either way, we agreed that they were both delicious.  Thursday's decision was easy as we were back at Chubbie's for the hamburger special with Rena.

Doug was home yesterday to join us at Goshen Brewing Company for dinner.  I know that has become his favorite place to eat in Northern Indiana lately, and we all enjoyed the food.  It was also nice to catch up with Doug after his week in Florida.  Tonight Alina joined us on food tour as we took her and Cameron to Evil Czech in Mishawaka.  She had never been there and enjoyed it as much as we did.   As an added bonus the four of us played mini-golf at Putt Putt before dinner.  It was a very fun evening and a great way to celebrate the end of our food tour of Northern Indiana along with Cameron's last week in Syracuse.
