Tennis season official ended last week, but that hasn't slowed Cameron's schedule down very much. He's kept himself busy this week by scheduling a haircut appointment, helping with the elementary tennis camp and attending the boys and girls soccer sectionals at Westview. Each night he's arrived home between 8:45 and 10 p.m. with just enough time to fill me in on his activities of the day before heading to bed or taking time to work on his end of quarter assignments.
Tonight Cameron shared his favorite story of the week. He and Ethan had gone to the first round of the girls' soccer sectional where Bethany was paired against ECA. It was a close match throughout and was tied 1-1. With three minutes left, Bethany unfortunately scored an own goal. It was extremely disappointing for the girls and fans, but they handled it well. The Bethany students cheered for their team no matter the score and in the end were proud of their effort. As they were getting ready to disband from the bleachers, Cameron said that a woman around my age came up to the front of the student section and started dancing and cheering that ECA had won. At first they were shocked as she was being very disrespectful, but in the end they all found it funny and vowed to do the same tomorrow night when the boys played in the second round against Elkhart Christian Academy.
