Welcome Week was everything that we had hoped for for Meg and much more. She found a group of girls on her floor to do things with daily. She attended several of the scheduled activities that IU offered including the Herman B. Wells game night, late night shopping at Walmart, tie dye, rec fest and culture fest just to name a few. Meg also signed up for several clubs, walked to all of her classes with Brett, had lunch with HM, received multiple check up texts from Cal, attended a floor meeting and was part of the class of 2023 human IU symbol made on the football field at Memorial Stadium. Even with all of these social activities going on, she found time to finish her X170 class and attend its fantasy start up session.
When Meg called tonight, she was absolutely exhausted. She had just returned from mass and a cookout at St. Paul's. She was happy with how her week had gone, but was ready to relax and watch Stranger Things on Netflix. We were so proud of Meg for making an effort to participate in all that IU had to offer this week and make friends along the way. She had definitely earned some down time.
