Ok, so it wasn't technically the last day of summer today, but for Cameron it may as well have been since school starts tomorrow. We tried to squeeze as much fun into it as possible. First, Cameron went golfing with my Mom in the morning. Then he, Meg and I went to lunch. We planned on taking him to Hacienda, but on our way there he mentioned that he really liked Moe's Southwest Grill. Meg informed us that there was one in Warsaw. We decided to try that instead and everyone was happy with their burrito. With all of the leftovers, Cam was even set for lunch tomorrow. Originally, we had planned to go shoe shopping today as well. Cameron's favorite pair of tennis shoes blew out this summer and Meg had been wearing hers for a least a year. Thankfully, there was a Shoe Carnvial in Holland yesterday, so we could skip that chore today.
This afternoon we played Swap Meet on the Wii. Meg even joined us. Afterward Cam had his first day of high school tennis practice. Doug picked him up after practice. Cam really likes him team, which should make the season a lot of fun. Doug felt that playing a fall sport Freshmen year was a great way for him to transition into high school. It sounds like it will be that way for Cameron as well. Once he and Doug got home the three of us headed to Oakwood to eat dinner. It wasn't crowded and the outside area was open, thus, making our last night out of summer a wonderful evening for all.
