Cal arrived yesterday afternoon ready to spend the weekend with his friends. He first caught up with HM last night and then hung out at Jeremy's. Today his group all met at the Knights' hall for a pancake breakfast. Meg entered the door at noon, sad to be done with camp. The managers thought that she would be there until next Saturday and had even assigned her a cabin. She really wanted to stay, but knew that she had a paper to finish for her Kelley class. This was also to be her last week to hang out with Nick before he left for Purdue and she didn't want to miss that.
Meg spent the majority of her day working on her research paper. She had finished all but citing the references earlier in the week. It took some time this afternoon, but she finally got it all done. She also had other homework for class, but that wasn't as taxing. Thus, at 5 p.m. she submitted her first research paper at the Kelley School of Business. It was a relief for her. She took some time to relax and then left with Nick to spend the evening at his Uncle's lake house in Union, Michigan.
The rest of us stayed home tonight. Doug cooked brats and hamburgers on the grill. Cal and his friends showed up just as we started. I was thankful that Doug cooked extra and that my Mom brought up a crockpot of macaroni and cheese. There definitely weren't a lot of leftovers by the end of the evening.
