Toronto

Doug left this afternoon for a board meeting tomorrow in Toronto.  He had been working all week on his presentation and had prepared for it quite extensively.  He flew out of Midway, and due to traffic only arrived an hour before flight time.  Being that Doug prefers to be at the airport at least three hours early, he was nervous that he wouldn't make it through customs in time.  Thankfully, the airport was not crowded, and he was able to board without incident.  He did forget to take his Dramamine, but said that it didn't matter as the flight was short and turbulent free.

Doug checked into tonight before I went to bed.  He said that they had a nice dinner across the street from the hotel.  He was ready for his part of the meeting, but thought that he'd practice one more time before tomorrow afternoon.  His trip won't be long as they fly out shortly after it is over.  I was glad for that as I did not sleep well last night.  With helping Meg get ready for college and Cal spending the week in Vegas, I wasn't quite ready for Doug to be gone.  Thankfully, I was able to take care of one pressing issue with our football tickets and also find Brett a great deal on a new printer.  Those at least made me feel a little less anxious.
