The Official Start to Christmas Break

Today was the official start to Christmas Break for the entire Heinisch family as both Cam and Meg finished their last week of school for the semester.  They were extremely glad to be done as it was a tough finals week.  Doug was home early from work as well happy to have the next four days off.  Brett, Cal and I had already been enjoying their week off, but it was nice to have everyone on the same itinerary.

I had spent the majority of the day wrapping gifts and was thankful to be done by dinner time this evening.  Brett was up early to meet Curt Nisley for lunch before he left for the state house.  He did have time to help me organize the basement and to take a walk.  Cal had friends over last night and was happy to relax today.

Doug offered "make your own quesadilla" night for dinner complete with homemade nachos which was a big hit.  Nick joined us for the evening and Hannah-Marie arrived later.  She had her wisdom teeth taken out on Monday and developed a dry socket.  She hadn't been feeling the best, but was a lot better tonight.  We all played pool and then had a Mario Kart tournament with Cam being the big winner in both.  We ended the night watching A Charlie Brown and Garfield's Christmas.  It was a great way to kick the holidays and Doug and I truly appreciated having everyone together.
