Ready for Christmas

Another Sunday, another day of wrapping gifts and watching the Bears.  We had actually talked about going to Chicago today, but Meg ended up having a commitment and we changed our trip at the last minute to yesterday.  I was thankful for that as it was quite a bit colder and windier today which would have lessened our fun at the Lincoln Park Zoo.

Instead we pretty much stayed in all day except for running to the store and taking a walk.  Cal and Meg were able to finally finish their gift wrapping.  Cal did it in between football games and was happy to report that both the Bears and Patriots won today.  Meg wrapped hers between plans with Nick and Sarah.  Cam helped me find two gifts that needed exchanged.  It was easy for him to do as he had spent most of his time today checking each and every item under the tree.  Brett worked on job applications for the majority of the afternoon.  Getting caught up last week really helped him.  He also had time to watch "A Year Without a Santa Claus" with me.

Tonight Doug made appetizers for everyone trying two new dishes - pepperoni pizza windmills and spinach/artichoke dip.  Both were delicious.  My parents came up to watch the Bears game with Cal and stayed for dinner.  We all played games afterward with Cam being the big winner once again.
