While we were getting together with the Barnhart family, the rest of the Heinisch family was enjoying their own togetherness. After a week of travel for Nick and a busy time at work for Meg, they made the most of Saturday and Sunday by shopping, eating out and relaxing. They got a lot done for the wedding as well including putting a deposit down for the cake, looking at flower arrangements for the reception and picking out a dress for Meg for her bridal shower.
Cal and Maggie enjoyed a quiet weekend as well. Cal made Doug's macaroni and cheese dish for the first time. He sent us pictures of it once it came out of the oven and it looked delicious. After spending the weekend supporting IU athletics by attending both men's water polo and basketball, Cameron took Brett out on Sunday night to Logan's Steakhouse to celebrate Brett's belated birthday. They both texted later to let me know that they had really enjoyed it and thanked me for picking up the tab. I was glad that they had a chance to celebrate in person. Overall, it was a fun weekend for all of the Heinisch family and I enjoyed hearing all about it from each of them.
