Cal wasn't the only Heinisch that spent a weekend away from home. Brett left Saturday for Syracuse so that he could visit his grandparents and also go to the dentist today. The added bonus was that he also got a day free from work while he was there. Although I thought that Brett had stayed there recently, he told my parents that he hadn't spent the night at their home since he was in middle school. The furniture arrangement had been a lot different in those days, but the enjoyment of visiting was just the same.
I talked to Brett this afternoon on his drive back to Bloomington. He had really enjoyed his visit. He got to talk about movies and famous people from Indiana with Grandpa and Cal. He watched several movies that he had wanted to see including The Music Man and For a Few Dollars More. He had also appreciated Grandma's meals and overall had a great time. Although no one really enjoys a dentist appointment, Brett was thankful for his as it gave him a reason to take a break from work and a lot of family time.
