Brett arrived late last night glad to be home. This was his last weekend off for awhile and he was looking forward to spending it in Syracuse. After next week, he will return to his previous work schedule with Tuesday and Wednesdays off. He told us that he actually prefers that as it gives him a chance to get some things done during on weekdays when businesses and offices are open.
We had a lot of fun hanging out with Brett today. Cameron, Doug and I took him to Goshen Brewing Company for lunch. Brett and I then searched through the house for a poster frame for his new purchase. Thankfully, I had just the right size for him. Afterward he spent the afternoon at Grandma and Grandpa's catching up with them, watching the Simpsons and vacuuming out his car. Doug made chicken, fish and cauliflower for dinner. We have learned that not only is cauliflower Doug's favorite vegetable, but Brett's as well. Once we cleaned up, Grandma and Grandpa arrived for a game of Oh Hell! Cameron opted out of cards as he had plans with his friends. We finished the evening with a bonfire and listening to Brett's opinions on the current state of political affairs. It was the perfect way to end a fun day with the oldest Heinisch sibling.
