One Last Stop

When our family last went to Disney World in January of 2020, our trip was cut short due to flight cancellations and weather delays in the midwest.  Although it didn't affect my flight with Brett, Cal and Meg, Doug and Cam had a very difficult time getting home.  Thus, their time and mine at Animal Kingdom was cut short on our last day to help them find a flight home.  Fortunately, we were able to do that, but it meant missing our favorite Animal Kingdom show "It's Tough to Be a Bug."  Doug promised that we'd be back to see it again, but with the pandemic I was never quite sure about that.

Although it did't look like it first thing this morning when the rental care presented with a flat tire, we were finally able to reach our goal of singing along with Flik to "We're Pollinators."  While in Animal Kingdom we rode the Na'vi River Journey and Kilimanjaro Safari as well.  The day wasn't all about rides and A Bug's Life as we were also able to walk visit the animals along Gorilla Falls and Maharani Trek.  I even talked Doug into going to the Feathered Friends in Flight show.  We enjoyed lunch at Harambe Market and did a little shopping before ending our last day at Disney World.  What a wonderful time we had on our first vacation since March of 2020.  The mask wearing, social distancing rules, the crowds or even the heat didn't affect the fun that we were able to enjoy.  The only thing missing was the four Heinisch children.
