Low Medalist

I missed Friday night's competition between the Bethany golf team and Elkhart Christian.  The match had been scheduled after Doug and I made plans to go to Florida and Cameron said that he would be ok with me missing it.  He called as soon as it was over and I enjoyed listening to him talk about his round.  He shot a 43 at Black Squirrel finishing in second place individually.  It was definitely better than his previous score against Goshen, but Cameron felt that he could do better.

Tonight Cameron got his chance to prove that.  The match up was the same with Bethany once again pitted against ECA, but the venue was different as the boys played at Bent Oak in Elkhart.  It was cold and windy, but that didn't seem to bother Cameron at all.  As he stated later, "I played the best of the season tonight."  I agreed and besides his drive on hole number three, he hit the ball well.   This highlight of the night was a birdie on number 5 and Cameron just missed a putt on the last hole for 39.   His 40, however, was an awesome score and good enough for him to finish medalist on the night.  His playing partner, Austin, also scored well breaking 50.  Bethany endued up losing by 6 to the eagles, but it overall it was a fun night to be a golf mom.
