I checked a lot off of my Christmas to-do list these past few days. All of our decorations were hung, Christmas cards had been ordered, wrapping paper had been bought and the majority of the gifts had been purchased. Doug planned on having a very busy week, working most nights at home. Therefore, I was absolutely surprised when he came home the past two nights without anything to do on his computer. Last night we used the time to prep the stairwell for painting next weekend. Tonight, we didn't really have a home project. With Cameron at a girls' game, we knew that he wouldn't be home in time to play cards either.
While we were debating what to do with our free time, I jokingly reminded Doug that Tuesday was half price pizza night at The Frog. We hadn't been there since September, so he instantly jumped on the suggestion and soon we were on our way to the restaurant. We rarely go out to eat anymore, mostly because of the expense, but also because Doug enjoys cooking and we like what he makes. The Frog does seem to be one place that we go to in Syracuse more than any other. The pizza is really not that great, but a half price, it's edible. Doug likes the beers that they have on draft which makes it a lot better choice than Sleepy Owl. They also let us buy a pizza for half price to take home for Cameron. Tonight's pizza was super thin and the guys at the bar were a little too loud, but overall Doug and I had a fun night out together. Maybe we won't wait three months before we go again.
