Today was Grandma Jane's 79th Birthday. I don't know if she was excited about getting a year older, but I do believe that she was happy to have spent a lot of time with her grandchildren this past week including today. During the past seven days, they have all stopped by for multiple visits, ate lunch at her home, played games with her and spent Thanksgiving day with her. I am sure that she also enjoyed the candy, jewelry and poinsettia that she received to honor the day. Grandma Jane has been an important part of their lives and the Heinisch children were definitely glad to take time to show her that this week. They may not be little anymore, but they still have fun telling her about their lives at school, work and with their friends. Being a good listener is the best thing that a Grandma can give her adult grandchildren - that and a little bit of gas money every once in awhile.
