Holiday Menu Planning

Meg spent the day in Goshen with Nick and Nancy.  They did some shopping and got lunch at Panera.  Cameron was gone for most of the day as well.  He first kept stats for the girls basketball team against South Bend Clay and then hung out at Alina's playing card games.  Doug and I were also in Goshen today.  Since no one was home, we decided that it would be the perfect time to go grocery shopping for the week.  It took some time to plan out the meals, but by the time we left we had ideas for every day up through Thanksgiving.  The stores were packed, but we were able to get in and out fairly quickly.  We also found time to stop at Lowe's to buy a pole and edger for our next project - painting the stairwell.  Since it was still early in the afternoon, we decided to stop at Goshen Brewing Company as well.  We ran into one of the women who works for Doug.  It was nice to see her and her husband again.

Thankfully, all of us were home well before dark.  The roads were terrible today with all of the blowing and drifting snow this week.  Doug made mostaccioli tonight for dinner.  It was really good.  Nick left after dinner as he had to fly with his students tomorrow morning.  The four of us then spent the rest of the evening playing games - Swap Meet, Five Second Rule and Mario Kart.  It was a lot of fun and both Doug and I enjoyed hanging out with Cameron and Meg for the evening.
