The last twenty-four hours have been filled with more games then I can count. We started last night with Qwirkle and Sequence when it was just Doug, Brett, Cal and I and then moved on to Sequence. As soon as Rachel arrived we learned a new game that she had brought called "Code Names." Doug and I struggled with it at first, but in the end really enjoyed it. The next game on the list was Hearts. I sat out so that Rachel, Cal, Brett and Doug could play. Cameron took Doug's place once he got home from the Bethany girls' basketball game leading their "team" to a victory.
There were more games to be played today as Alina arrived to visit Cameron. Ticket to Ride Europe was first on the agenda with a new round of girls vs. guys at Code Names once Meg and Nik arrived home. After Doug's dinner of macaroni and cheese with Eckrich Smoked Sausage, the Heinisch children with their guests had fun with Chameleon while Doug and I played Ticket to Ride Africa and Indian. We ended the night with a few rounds of Psych!, a fun Ellen game on the iPhone. Rachel was the big winner, but it was a lot of fun guessing everyone's answer to a unique question. Overall, it was a wonderful twenty-four hours in the Heinisch home filled with a lot of family time.
