Although we normally call a Saturday filled with football as game day in the Heinisch home, today definitely would have qualified as one even without our fall favorite. Cameron, Nick and Meg started the day off with several games of Mario Super Slugger on the Wii U. After lunch, Meg and Nick continued on the Wii while Doug and I played multiple games of Ticket to Ride. Cameron had left the "party" to attend a few open houses in Goshen where he maintained his "game day" status with a few rounds of corn hole.
As the afternoon of game time was winding down, Meg suggested that we try one more, our new Brady Bunch game. It took several readings of the directions, but once we figured out how to play the game, we all had a lot of fun. We each took a turn as Alice trying to "snoop out the troublemaker." We also got to pick a character representative from the show. Doug was Bobby, while I was Marcia. Meg chose Greg and Nick was Cindy. After four games, we ended in a dead even tie. None of us minded, however, we were just glad to play a board game in honor of our favorite 1970s television series. The best part was that even got to hum the theme song while we were playing. It was a great way to end game day in the Heinisch home.
