As a Kelley Direct Admit student Meg was signed up to take a class this summer entitled How Business Works. It was a new concept that would give her an introduction to the business world and also give her three more credits before school officially started on the 26th of August. Meg was given the details about the class at registration and was excited to be a part of it. The only problem was that we were all told that it wouldn't start until July 15th. Thus, we were completely surprised when she received six emails this week with work to do before Monday. Thankfully, Meg was able to get through it all and still have time to meet Jackie for lunch and hang out with Nick later in the evening. She didn't rest much, but she seemed to be ok with that. She had had a great week at camp and was excited about that.
Cameron slept until close to noon today. He was definitely wiped out from a week of tennis camp and a party at Conner's. He gave us more details today about the tennis that they played and the fun he had with his teammates this past week. He wasn't sure at first how he would feel about high school tennis, but after camp, he said that he was more than ready for the season to start. He did get out to the golf course this afternoon with my Mom. They only played thirteen holes before they caught the tournament teams. They decided that the slow play and the heat was enough for them to call it quits. He wasn't disappointed as we made plans to play cards later.
Doug grilled brats and made macaroni and cheese this evening for dinner. It was delicious. My parents came up a little after Meg had left. They were still here when she and Nick made it back from Walmart. Meg showed us her purchases from camp while we played several hands of Oh Hell. Everyone had a good time ribbing each other, especially Grandpa as he finished last in both games. It was nice having Cam home. I had missed playing cards while he was gone.
