B-Town

Cam spent his morning at the golf course with Grandpa.  They got in eighteen holes before the best ball started.  While they were out, I packed for our trip to Bloomington and waited for the Mediacom guy to fix our internet.  I was happy that I was successful on both accounts.  I wasn't really worried about getting the packing done, but I was concerned about our internet.  It had gone out on Saturday night and since then had been coming on at nine every night and turning off again just after noon.  We had tried a new modem, but that didn't help.  Thankfully, the repairman was able to figure out that the cable between the pole and the house was bad.  He replaced it and had our internet back up running better then ever within an hour.  We were all happy about that, especially Meg as she needed the internet to work on her paper during her lunch break.

Doug left work early and we were on the road by 4.  Brett had plans this evening, so Cam, Doug and I decided to play miniature golf at Putter's Park.  The reviews online said, "Have you ever gone to a really bad movie with friends and ended up having a great time?  That is this course."  They were exactly right.  It wasn't maintained at all this summer, but we had a lot of fun anyway.  After golf we stopped at Brett's apartment to drop off his television, a tv stand and a bookcase.  Once we had those situated we took Cam to Mother Bears for dinner.  Brett ended up meeting us there and we all enjoyed catching up with him.  Once we got back to his apartment, Brett headed straight to bed.  He had to work at 7 a.m. tomorrow morning.  Doug and I got the television up and running by eleven and even enjoyed an episode of Law and Order before calling it a night.
