I was super sad to have missed hanging out with Doug this Father’s Day, but was extremely glad to hear that he had had a nice day. He first opened the card that I mailed him to celebrate the day. He then got some things done around the house, watched the US Open, and went to Stirrups at the World Equestrian Center with his boss and a few people from work. The dinner was delicious and he enjoyed the conversation. He was pretty sure that it was the most expensive dinner that he had ever had, but I thought that was a perfect way to celebrate the world’s greatest father and husband. I couldn’t wait until Cameron and I could celebrate with him in person on Tuesday night.
The nice part about being in Indiana on Father’s Day was that we got to celebrate it with Grandpa Cutes. We first played Switch where we all went out in the first round. It was still fun to play, however. After lunch, he and Cameron went to Maxwelton for 18 holes with Grandpa’s friends. Cameron even “let” him win. Dinner was from the Dairy Queen while we all watched the US Open. It was the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day with him and I was glad that we got to be there today.
