Although Doug was happy with his new purchase, no one was more thrilled then Meg. Since Doug had a new vehicle to drive, Cal wanted the Silverado back and Brett needed use of the Civic, she would now be able to use the CR-V daily. It came with a lecture of keeping it in better shape than the truck, which she gladly agreed to do. The Heinisch family once again will have five vehicles in the driveway this summer, but at least now everyone will have one to drive.

The Pilot
Doug and I finally decided to upgrade his vehicle. We had talked about it for months and looked at several different options including a new Silverado. In the end we decided upon a 2018 Honda Pilot. We test drove one last week and thought it would be the perfect fit for our family. It had passenger room for eight, so we would be able to take family trips with it. That was a priority as the van was closing in on 150,000 miles and long distance vacations made me nervous with that kind of wear and tear on it. Knowing that this may eventually become my vehicle, I really wanted heated, leather seats which the Pilot offered. It also had an upgrade on the CR-V's audio system which Doug would definitely put to good use. We agreed on a price and settled on Forest Green as an exterior color.
