Doug arrived at the Indy airport this morning around 9 a.m. ready for our weekend in Bloomington. Brett had originally offered to pick him up, but wasn't available since his hours at work had changed. I wasn't sure if Meg would be interested in driving up since she would be going to Nick's later in the day, but she definitely was once she heard that she'd make $50 in the process and get Chipotle for lunch. She called me on the way there to make sure that I agreed with the directions. She had no problem finding the departures lane and Doug waiting for her. Doug then spent the rest of the day working and Meg left for West Lafayette soon after lunch.
Cameron and I followed Doug to Bloomington later in the day. We had originally planned on leaving at 5 from Bethany, but the rain changed our plans. Tennis camp got out early due to the wet courts and we were on the road by 3:15 from our home. The drive down was a little slower than normal, but we still made it there by 7:15. Cameron told me on the way there that he didn't mind going to Bloomington in the summer, but fall was definitely his favorite time of the year because of football. Not only could we tailgate and attend the game, but we could also watch college games afterward and the NFL on Sunday as well. I could see him feeling that way, but Brett, Doug and I appreciated the slow summer months in B-Town tonight. It gave us the opportunity to go to dinner at Mother Bear's without much of a wait. Afterward we talked Cameron into Ticket to Ride and enjoyed the rest of the evening at Brett's.
