Almost LIke a Mini Vacation

In June all of us were glad to hear that Cameron had been invited to play in the Southern Masters Junior Golf Tournament.  It gave him an opportunity to participate in the challenging two day event and Doug and I a chance to spend a few days in Bloomington.  Even better was the fact that Brett had the weekend off from Storage Express and was able to hang out with us more than he had been recently.  We would miss Meg on this trip as she had already made plans with Nick for the weekend, but thankfully, she was agreeable to us using her apartment so that we all had a bed to sleep on during our "mini-vacation."

Besides going to Mother Bears last night during our stay in Bloomington, we were also able to go to Oliver Winery yesterday afternoon, Big Woods for dinner last night, and Crazy Horse tonight.  We played multiple games of Ticket to Ride with each one of us winning at least one game.  We watched several episodes of Seinfeld and the NBA finals.  Brett even had time to introduce us to the SpongeBob Documentary series.  While Doug followed  Cameron on the first round of his golf tournament today, I cut Brett's hair for him, helped him measure his office chair for a new cover, went to Potbelly's with him and took a long walk through campus.  Overall, it was a fantastic time to be in Bloomington with few students and lots of places to visit.  I can't wait to go back.
