What a Wonderful Weekend!

Today was the end to a wonderful weekend and I hated to see it go.  Doug and I had spent a lot of it together as it was the first one in quite some time that he didn't have to work both days.  Besides a homemade dinner on Friday night and an afternoon exploring Elkhart yesterday, we also watched several movies and worked on a challenging Snow White puzzle together completing quite a bit of it today.

Cal had a nice weekend at home as well and it was great to have him here.  We talked a lot of basketball and he took back Season on the Brink to read.  It was one of Doug and my favorite books.  Cameron was busy with his chess tournament yesterday and spent today with Avery at Swiss Valley, enjoying skiing and dinner before arriving home late last night.  Brett worked both Saturday and Sunday, but still had time to go out to dinner and catch a few movies.

Meg may have had the biggest weekend of all of us as she spent it as a volunteer at Hoosier Awakening.  This event was hosted at a church in Greenwood and she texted several times to let us know that she was having a wonderful two days.  Her commitment beforehand was extensive, but well worth it in the end.  Yatsiri went with her, but she also met a few new friends as well.  I enjoyed listening to her talk about her adventures and was glad that it went so well.  The church has been an important part of her transition to IU which has made life in college so much better.
