Science Olympiad

On Saturday Cameron participated in Science Olympiad.  This was his third straight year of being part of the program and by far his most successful.  He and Breece were paired together in three different events - Water Quality, GeoMapping and Density Lab.  At the start of the day Cameron felt most confident about Water Quality as they had spent quite a bit of time studying that subject in Environmental Science this fall.   He knew enough about the other two topics to be interested in them, but wasn't quite as sure about how well they would do in those competitions.  Cam's instincts were correct and the boys finished first in Water Quality.  They also did well in Density Lab with a podium finish (third place).  Cameron was extremely happy with the results.  It was the best that he had ever competed, and although he wasn't quite ready to jump on my idea of getting a Science Olympiad trailer for Bethany like the Northridge team had, he was very proud of their accomplishments.
