Today was Super Bowl Sunday. We started our day at mass where Meg had to lector. She read very well considering the sad content as the verse revolved around the suffering of Job. After mass we went to the Knight's hall for their annual Super Bowl feast. Thankfully, they had Meg's favorite - chicken wings. Cam tried a few as well as the taco bar. Everything we had was delicious and we were glad that we were able to make it.
We spent the rest of the evening at home preparing for the big game. Doug put on his Tom Brady jersey as soon as we walked in the door. Cam picked the menu tonight - queso dip, meatballs, guacamole and cheese with salami. Everything was great and we enjoyed watching the game together. The commercials were funny and the game was a close one. Unfortunately for Doug, the Patriots just missed a catch in the end zone with time running out to lose to the Eagles 41-33. Doug was definitely in the minority as the Patriots have become the nemesis for most football fans. The good news for my Dad was that the score brought him an extra $100.
