A Wonderful Day in Bloomington

The weather today was drastically different than yesterday.  Instead of 40's and rain we had 50's and sun.  Doug started his day with a jog around campus.  He reported when he got back that he had a face plant to beat all of Cam's.  He not only fell while jogging, he stumbled about 10 yards and ended up in a mud puddle along the way.  Thankfully, he survived the incident and made it back to Brett's safely.

Once Cal arrived we made our way to Parce's.  We visited with him for awhile before going to Taste of India for lunch.  Brett and I had eaten there before and really liked it.  Pam met us there as well.  She was in town to check on her parents.  We had some great conversations around the table and enjoyed a nice buffet as well.  After lunch Parce headed back home.  It was his only day off all week and he wanted to go grocery shopping and catch up on laundry.  The rest of us shopped on Kirkwood and then took a walking tour of campus.  The weather was beautiful and we took some awesome pictures.  Cam tried to impress us by jumping the Jordan River, but decided against it in the end.

After our walk we dropped Cal and Brett back at their respective homes.  They both had homework to do and we wanted to get back before it got dark.  Traffic was light on the way home and we made it well before 7.  It was a quick trip to Bloomington, but a wonderful one as well.  Cal will be home for Spring Break in a couple of weeks.  Brett is going on a mission trip to Chicago that week, but will be home for at least one weekend.  We are already looking forward to seeing them.
