Cal arrived around 3:15 this afternoon. He had an appointment at Bud's Body Shop to get an estimate on the damage from his accident at the beginning of June. Someone had hit him in a round about near work. Thankfully, Bud's was flexible as Cal was late due to traffic in Carmel. They were able to get it back to us by 5 p.m. After we picked up the CR-V, Doug, Cal and I went to Oakwood for dinner. We beat the rush, which was nice. I got the chicken club again and Doug and Cal tried the portobello mushroom grilled cheese. Cal also tried two different beers. His new license came this week, so he finally got a chance to use it.
We all headed back to our house after dinner. Kyle, Cameron and David Yankowsky stopped by to see Cal. We enjoyed visiting with them. Cameron will start a new job in Tennessee on July 8th. He was excited about that. The guys stayed here until close to 11 p.m. talking about high school, college and life in the future. It won't be long before all of them are done and starting careers of their own. Doug offered to take them to the Frog as they planned to hang out there for the rest of the evening. They were appreciative of the ride. Cal promised to call him or Grandma Jane when they were ready to come home. I was happy to have spent a fun evening with them all.
