All of the cold, wind and rain of yesterday was a memory this morning. When I dropped Cam off at tennis there was plenty of sunshine and the temperatures were on the rise. As Meg and I got out of the doctor's at noon we knew that we were in for a beautiful day. We also had gotten good news from Dr. Freeze about Meg's mouth infection. It had completely cleared and all she had left was a few more days of antibiotics. This bit of information made the day seem even brighter.
My Mom had picked Cam up from tennis after her own appointment and they were able to get in nine holes before the best ball started. He and Meg ate lunch at home and worked on picking up their rooms. Meg left by 2:30 for the Indiana Dunes. A group of graduates from Bethany had made plans several weeks ago to go today and they couldn't have picked a better day. Meg did report later that the water was cold, but the dunes were a lot of fun and she had a great time. They stopped for dinner at Portillo's on the way back.
Cam also had plans this evening. He and Bailee met at the Brew and then walked to JoJo's and the Chief. He had hoped to go to her softball game tomorrow, but it was cancelled due to lack of players. While I was taking him to Goshen, Cal made it home from Carmel. He hung out with my Mom for awhile watching the US Open and eating leftovers. We caught up with him later in the evening. He had enjoyed his week at work and went to an Indians game last night. Doug and I had a quiet night at home while everyone else was busy. He grilled out and we ended our beautiful summer night with a bonfire.
