End of a Quick Trip

Doug was up early this morning so that he could clean Brett's apartment.  Besides a lot of dust where the furniture had been it wasn't too bad and he was finished in about forty-five minutes.  He and Brett put the keys and the checklist in the IU housing drop box before they even opened.  It felt great to be finished.  Brett's IU apartment had been the perfect place during his tenure as a master's student, but we were all happy with his choice of new living quarters.  It will fit his needs perfectly and thankfully, it does not have a linoleum floor to sweep.

I stayed up later than everyone else unpacking and organizing last night.  Thus, I missed the early morning cleaning shift.  I was up in time to finish the last of the unpacking except what was stored in the extra bedroom.  We took Brett to Target to buy a couple of items that his new place would need - a welcome mat and a longer utility cord along with a few other necessities.  We finished setting up the television before we left.  Brett had thought about forgoing wifi, but in the end decided that it would be needed as the Google Home Mini, PS4 and BluRay Player would not connect to his hot spot.  We agreed and I told him I would look into it on the way home.

We had picked up Chick-Fil-A for Brett's lunch as he had to work at 1.  We had him to the Union in plenty of time.  On our way out of town we checked out parking spots for Brett.  He could get an EMS permit as an IU employee, which we were happy to see had plenty of spaces close to his work.  Doug and I enjoyed lunch at Oliver Winery.  It was a beautiful afternoon and we were thankful for a rest after a whirlwind twenty-four hours.
