Meg and I started our day at the orthodontist. She hadn't been since March and had expected to get new wires. They had to scale down their plans for today as the area surrounding her wisdom teeth extraction was infected. The orthodontist tried to suction out all that he could, but it wouldn't stop seeping. He was extremely concerned that the infection had spread to the tooth or jaw. Thankfully, the X-ray did not show anything more than an infection in the gum. He took the bracket off of the back tooth so that the area could heal and put her on a strong dose of penicillin. We have to call if it does not improve by next Wednesday. Otherwise she will return in July for the next step in the process.
We had time after her first appointment to go to lunch at Hacienda. Meg had hoped that Cam would join us, but I knew her doctor visits would take quite a bit of time, so I decided to schedule them on different days. Instead Cam played golf with Grandma Jane and was happy to report that he had shot an 81 again. Meg and I enjoyed our time together and we had just enough time to pick up her medication before our scheduled time at the eye doctor. That appointment was a little less stressful. Meg's prescription had changed somewhat, but nothing that couldn't be corrected. Dr. Caughell agreed to fill out Meg's disability forms for IU which we really appreciated. We made it home just as Cam and Grandma returned.
