Today just was just "blah" here in the Heinisch home. I got a lot done on my 2017 photo album and finished washing all of the bedding in the house, but overall the day was best when it was over. Cam and Meg were both exhausted. Neither had slept well this week and the dreary weather did not help. It was their only day home right after school this week, but I think they both wished that they had something to do.
We did eat dinner with my parents which was nice. Cam and Meg hit Dad up for payment on their grades. Mom was more generous than he expected, which led to some grumbling. They did do well this quarter, however, and there was no argument with that. Doug was absolutely swamped at work this week which left him absent from home more than usual. He also had a Knights meeting and county council which increased his workload. That may have added to the long week as well.
Thankfully, tomorrow will start the weekend. Except for a wedding on Saturday we do not have a lot of on our agenda. Doug may have to work Saturday morning, but should be home in time to watch the IU vs. Iowa game with Cam. That has been all that Cam has talked about this week. We are hopeful that the Hoosiers are victorious. They haven't won a homecoming game since 2010. Meg is looking forward to a night out with Jackie and Sarah tomorrow. They have plans to go to the Niles Scream Park and then spend the night at our house. That way they can go to the boys' soccer regional at Argos Saturday morning. I know I speak for all of us tonight - Friday cannot come soon enough.
