It was a beautiful day for Doug, Meg and I to visit the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. We were concerned last night about the weather after the heavy rains and the forecasted storms for today. Thankfully, besides a few rain drops in the afternoon we didn’t need the umbrellas or raincoats that we packed.
Out of all of the festivals that Epcot hosts throughout the year, the spring one is by far my favorite. This year’s did not disappoint. There were beautiful topiaries of the Disney characters and dozens of food booths for us to try. It was more crowded than last year, but we were still able to get on multiple rides including Remy and Soarin’ twice. The food and drinks were delicious. Doug said that the chicken gumbo in the United States was the best he’d ever had. I really liked the jalapeño bacon cornbread and Meg loved her new orange bird sipper. Meg and I also spent time shopping enjoying the new merchandise and had a lot of fun one butterfly garden.. After nine hours of walking through the park, we left Epcot exhausted, but extremely happy with our last day in Florida on Meg’s Spring Break trip.
