It was a fun Saturday for the four of us in the Heinisch home. First of all, we took advantage of the fact that we had no morning commitments, so we slept in a little longer than a normal Saturday. For Doug that still meant that he was up before 8 a.m. but at least he was able to get a lot of work done before the rest of us started our days.
Meg left at 11 a.m. to meet Sarah for lunch in Goshen. They had fun catching up on their week and made plans for next week. Last night she went to dinner with Gabby which she enjoyed as well. This afternoon she and Nick went to Fort Wayne to so some shopping and eat dinner at Chick-Fil-A. They made it back here by nine to watch a movie before he headed home.
Cam's afternoon was spent at Goshen College participating in the Science Olympiad. He competed in the density and disease detectives events with Breece. They were happy to earn a second place in the density portion. He spent the rest of the day at home watching Big Ten basketball and playing pool.
I worked on several projects at home today. It was chilly, 22 degrees, but sunny. I took advantage of the "nice" day to walk outside. It really wasn't too bad once I got started. It was great to walk outside as laps around the basement have become monotonous. Tonight Doug and I tried a new restaurant in Warsaw called Oak & Alley. We were happy to see that one of our favorite chefs from Huntington Street was in the kitchen at the new microbrewery. We enjoyed the craft hamburgers and tried a few of their beers. We even brought one home for Cameron with bacon and caramelized onions which he really liked. We hope to take everyone back someday. Afterward we spent the rest of the evening playing pool with Cameron, watching BlacKKKlansmen and working on the Harry Potter Hogsmeade puzzle. It was a fun Saturday for all of us.
