Today was Uncle Phil's 51st birthday. We offered to take him out, but he said that he and Molly would just prefer to come over, watch ballgames and hang out. That sounded perfect to Doug, so I ran to Walmart before they got here to buy dessert. I had remembered that Phil really liked cheesecake and found one that was the perfect size for two with a variety of flavors.
We spent a fun evening at home watching basketball, talking about our favorite games from the past, and going over delicious desserts that Phil had had for his birthday years ago including a Spiderman Baskin Robbins cake that was a big hit when he was eight. We hung out with Molly in the backyard while the guys filled me in on their weekend when I was in Indiana - brewing beer and testing some new ones at Infinite Ale. Doug and Phil both enjoyed the dessert. It was the perfect way to celebrate Phil and an enjoyable evening for all.
