Enjoying Ocala

After finally going to bed last night at 3 a.m., Cameron and I decided to sleep in this morning.  Doug used that time to work so that he was ready to head downtown when we got up.  Our first stop was Mellow Mushroom.  That was number one on Cameron's spring break to do list.  It was beautiful today so we ate on their patio.  Doug and Cameron chose a vegetable pizza while I tried their chicken sandwich.  Both were delicious.  Afterward, we walked to Grandpa Joe's where Cameron picked out some chocolate stars and a 1919 root beer to try.  Our last stop downtown was a new ice cream store.  I tried their sugar free raspberry while Cameron picked a new flavor.  We sat outside once again while we enjoyed our treat, talking about our next plan.

While Cameron was here, I really wanted to take him to the Ocala Mall which housed a vintage vinyl store.  He agreed to trying it.  It was a lot better than he had expected as all of the albums were second hand.  He found a lot that were highlighted in Andy's class and picked a Moody Blues vinyl set to take home.  I was excited with the deals that I got on The Knack and Donny Osmond's greatest hits.

We spent the rest of the night at home enjoying all that our backyard had to offer.  Doug lit the tikis and fire pit and Cameron spent the evening catching up with Uncle Phil.  Once he left, the three of us watched basketball, talked about the Hoosiers chance of winning on Sunday, and played Qwixx.  It was a lot of fun.  Doug and I both enjoyed our day with Cameron.
