I was so glad to have been able to celebrate Meg's 23rd birthday with her last weekend albeit a week early. I was also extremely happy to hear that she had a wonderful day today. She worked from home and Nick brought her lunch from Small Cheval. She heard from numerous friends and family members through texts and social media posts. Meg was even able to clock out of work a little bit early so they could have dinner at a new restaurant in the heart of the city.
Meg called tonight to tell us about the gifts that she had received. She had already opened ours, Cameron and Grandma's, but today Nancy had sent her flowers. Cal had given her a gift card to one of his favorite restaurant chains. Brett made plans to give her a joint gift for her and Nick's birthdays. Meg opened a new record player from Nick which she used immediately to listen to "All Things Must Pass." She also decided that this was the best time to give Nick's his birthday gift even thought it was twelve days early. He was completely surprised by the new Nintendo Switch and they spent the rest of the night playing Wii Sports while listening to music. It sounded like one of her best birthdays ever.
