Cameron called after golf tonight and said that his plans had changed. Instead of hanging out with friends, he was going to dinner with the seniors. They had started a tradition last spring of having a formal dinner at Taco Bell the night before prom and they had invited Cameron to join them this year. He arrived home shortly after he called and asked his Dad if he had a suit jacket to wear for tonight. We laughed when he said it, but Doug was more than happy to help. I was just glad that he didn't ask to wear the white tuxedo he had just picked up for prom.
It was a late night for Cameron as he didn't get home until close to midnight. As soon as he walked in the door he had a lot of fun stories to share. He had picked his friend Riki up and they had spent the night with the senior guys. Jacob Leininger had planned the event and even brought a tablecloth for their formal dinner. Taco Bell was extremely busy when they arrived, so the manager gave them all free drinks while they waited to order. After their meal, they headed to Walmart and got some awesome pictures there. The last stop of the evening was Eastlake so they take a group picture in their big mirrors. Overall, it was a clever idea and a lot of fun. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to Cameron's stories. He ended by letting us know that he promised the seniors that he would carry on the tradition next year. Can't wait to see that.
