Direct Admit Day

Cameron, Doug and I spent the morning at Kelley's Direct Admit Day where we learned more about the top ranked business school.  The program was held at the IU Auditorium for the parents and at various classrooms for the students.  In the end we all walked out with the same conclusion - Kelley was the perfect place for Cameron to study business whether it was in marketing, finance or any other major that he chose.  We all also decided that some of the talks were extremely interesting and others were a little redundant.  All three of us preferred the open house last night where we got to meet with professors, but overall, we were happy that we had decided to attend the event.  I felt a lot better about Cameron's decision to turn down Florida for IU.

It was definitely a lot colder when we walked out of the auditorium at 12:30 than when we arrived at 9 this morning.  The storms of last night had brought in a cold front.  We called Brett on our way out to see if he wanted to get lunch with us.  He was more than ready.  Cameron chose The Trojan Horse and we all enjoyed our greek pita sandwiches.  Cameron and I then did some shopping on Kirkwood while Brett and Doug hung out at Nick's English Hut.  Cameron found a few vinyls that he was interested in, but neither of us bought anything.

The four of us spent the afternoon playing Ticket to Ride at Brett's before Meg arrived to open Easter gifts.  She loved her Jim Croce album "Don't Mess Around with Jim."  She said that she was a little disappointed yesterday when we didn't give it to her for her birthday as she had really wanted the album ever since Cal gave it to Cameron for his birthday.  I was glad that we surprised her by waiting a day.  I was also super excited about Brett's gift.  He now had a proper desk for his computer, and we could get rid of the table leaf that he had been using.  It will be even better when we give him the multi-colored chair in June.

Cameron and Meg spent the early evening shopping around Bloomington.  Cameron found some great shirts that he was super excited about.  Brett left at 6:15 for Andrew's.  They were meeting with someone tonight about their Meadery.  While everyone was gone, we ran to Kroger and then met Cameron and Meg at Mother Bears for dinner.  Afterward, we hung out at Brett's until they left for roller skating.  It was a quiet rest of the evening for Doug and I, but a wonderful day in Bloomington overall.
